Jondec Painting is a 35 year established company that provides interior and exterior painting services to homes and businesses in the Orland Park Illinois area. They offer a variety of other services to enhance the appearance of homes and businesses, and they are local leaders in their industry.
CHALLENGE
Fix the structural issues and SEO concerns plaguing the website. When we started the web design conversation with Jondec Painting, they already had an existing website with a lot of great content. They reached out to smallbee for a website redesign to address SEO and HTTPS security concerns, as well as provide an overall website update. Their site was responsive, but it had very poor page loading times, poor URL structure, and page content was in need of reorganization and better navigation. Jondec Painting strives to use the latest in technology and advertise their brand as the high quality service provider that they are; a website redesign that's both compliant and visually appealing was the perfect solution for their online challenges.
STRATEGY
Focus on proper structuring and on-page SEO first, and then increase overall styling. smallbee created a visually appealing design with an updated user-friendly navigation structure, URLs were shortened and reformatted for SEO and general readability. The website was made HTTPS secure, on-page SEO and Google's "core web vitals" were implemented to assist with search engine page ranking. Typography styling with heavy use of Jondec's high quality photography throughout the website created an eye-catching online design that appeals to their clientele. In this industry, clients consume content visually and love to see real pictures. There are NO STOCK PHOTOS on Jondec Painting's website!

LandCraft® is an established family business that has been providing boat repair and fiberglass services to the Chicagoland area for over 44 years. They offer services year-round and often have a waiting list of clients waiting to come in!
CHALLENGE
Transfer and reformat content from an older technology HTML website into an updated adaptive/responsive website. When we started the web design conversation with LandCraft®, they already had an existing website with a LOT of content. They knew the importance of staying up to date with an exciting brand and keeping up with the latest technology, which includes a mobile-friendly website that they did not have. Their clients consume content visually, so a responsive and eye-catching website with a large photo portfolio of their work was a requirement. A sister site was also needed for their industrial division to keep their services separate and marketed to their separate, industrial customer base.
STRATEGY
Focus on proper navigation and on-page SEO first, and then restructure, reformat and redesign the website using the latest in web technology. We created a visually appealing new brand design featuring a timeless nautical logo, a custom graphic background and a new color palette. A style guide was provided to keep the brand standards in place for any type of print, digital or online marketing that the business may do. The new brand design flowed nicely into the redesign of LandCraft’s website , which is now mobile-friendly and adheres to current web standards. The website highlights LandCraft’s expertise in their field and the vast portfolio of their work is impressive. It's been a hit with their clientele! (LandCraft's sister site, LandCraft Industries, has also been completed by Small Bee and successfully reaches the client's industrial customer base.)
LandCraft's updated website saw a 70% increase in website visitors, a 90% increase in returning website visitors, and page loading speed is 45% faster! With this increased performance and online accessibility, LandCraft saw a 40% increase in service inquiries.
